OwnMem

Cookies & browser storage

How OwnMem remembers your session and preferences on this browser.

More than cookies

Websites can store information through cookies, localStorage and sessionStorage. OwnMem uses browser storage for session information and preferences; these are distinct from conversations and memories kept on the server.

Session and preferences

  • Authentication: an access token and cached account information help authenticated pages connect to the service. Refresh-session cookies may also be used.
  • Preferences: the account language is saved by the platform and may be cached locally for display.
  • Chat access: the platform and chat domains use an authenticated session bridge. Login on one domain does not make browser storage automatically shared with every domain.

External services

Cloudflare, payment pages or other external services you open may use their own cookies or storage. Their behavior depends on the service and your browser settings. This page does not claim that advertising or analytics cookies are enabled when they have not been verified.

Manage this browser

Sign out when using a shared device. Use your browser’s site-data settings to inspect or clear data for platform.ownmem.com and chat.ownmem.com. Clearing data may sign you out and remove local preferences; it does not delete your server-side account, conversations or memories.

If you block storage required for authentication, login or session transfer may not work. For questions about account data rather than local browser data, use the privacy or contact page.
