Information you provide
Account and profile details, messages, images, voice recordings, uploaded documents, AI settings and support correspondence are processed when you use the relevant features. Conversations can produce transcripts, document text, summaries and memory entries. Payment and usage records may also be associated with your account.
Where your conversation goes
OwnMem’s platform manages accounts and conversations. Its observer service processes attachments and memory. Your bound OpenClaw environment receives the context needed to handle your messages and can return replies or files. Configured model and media providers receive the inputs necessary for the requested operation.
OwnMem website and observer servers are currently hosted in Hong Kong. Your own execution environment and external providers may operate elsewhere; their data handling also applies. Do not upload credentials or sensitive material that you do not want those services to process.
Why information is processed
- Authenticate accounts, connect your AI and deliver messages, files and notifications.
- Extract and retrieve useful context, process knowledge documents, and provide the memory features you use.
- Measure usage, maintain transaction records, investigate failures and protect the service.
Controls and retention
You can edit profile information and use the memory and document controls available in your space. Where an export, deletion or account request is not available in the interface, contact support. Some information may need to be retained for security, accounting or applicable legal requirements.
Platform memory and native files in your connected OpenClaw environment are separate copies. Removing a platform entry does not necessarily delete native files, provider records or backups. Review and manage those systems separately.
Security and browser storage
OwnMem uses account authentication and access checks. Browser-facing connections use HTTPS; protection on other parts of the processing chain depends on the connection and provider. No online system is risk-free. Protect your binding token and review who can access your AI environment.
Login information and preferences may be stored in cookies and browser storage. See the Cookies page for how to manage them.
Privacy questions
Contact OwnMem through the contact page with an account or privacy request. Include enough information to identify the request, but never include passwords, binding tokens or model keys. The notice will be updated when the described processing changes.
